A 9-inch square, 32-page hardcover book, ABCs of Audio Recording is a delightful children’s read featuring a page-by-page alphabet of audio terms, with short descriptions and simple illustrations or photos. “A is for Amplifier” or “T is for Tape” will give you an idea of the content, and topics like line level, key insert, and noise floor will probably educate the adults as well. I’m leaving my copy at my studio for clients to enjoy, but I’m waiting to see if Jon can follow this up with A Child’s Guide to Mastering so I can skip that perennial conversation by handing over a (hopefully illustrated) book!
