I love keyboards, I dig instrumental music, and I like home recordings. Beat Down Sound are drums, bass and keys with a little bit of guitar and one vocal track. The music reminds me of Booker T, Agustus Pablo and Can. They recorded it at The Sound Lab, their basement studio, through a Mackie 24 x 8 onto an Otari 1/2" 8 track with minimal amounts of inexpensive gear. It sounds great, the drums sound like old reggae records sometimes while the crazy, distorted electric piano was more modern and weird. A real great home recording and a fun listen.
