John Parish is known as a producer and collaborator, having worked with P. J. Harvey, Eels, Howe Gelb and many more. Here he collects odds and ends from many different studios and sessions over the last 5 years and cobbles them together to create a rather pleasant little masterpiece. It's mostly instrumental, with a lot of strings, but P.J. sings a song and there are a few other vocal diversions. Most of this record carries a kind of stately grace you don't hear too often these days. (www.thrilljockey.com, www.johnparish.com)
