Produced and engineered by J. Robbins, this is Tone's most "rock" record yet. Instrumentals with massive pounding drums (two kits) and more pronounced guitar hooks and riffs (four guitarists) pull it out of the "drone rock" world of earlier releases. Recorded to Studer 2" through a Trident 80B and API sidecar at Phase, in College Park, MD, and mixed to an MCI 1/2" deck (an all analog path). Mastered by Alan Douches at West Westside (does he ever sleep?). J. did a really great job of corralling this much energy to tape. Really cool vellum packaging, too. (www.dischord.com)
