Speaking of Tone, one of their previous CDs was produced by Robert Poss, guitar genius, drone meister and ex- Band of Susans member. Here's some stuff from live performances and his well- equipped home studio, Trace Elements. Robert is the master of treated and manipulated guitars, along with distorted drum machines and synths. He's not afraid to make some noise and it's worth checking out - I know I'll be lifting some ideas from these CDs. Distortion... features a larger variety with shorter pieces (including "Regret" which was on the Tape Op CD years ago) and Crossing... has some longer pulsing Riley- esque work and some cool live work with tablas.
