RFTT were a seminal Cleveland band that spawned Pere Ubu and the Dead Boys. Now they have (maybe briefly) banded back together for some touring and such, with Television's Richard Lloyd replacing the long- deceased Peter Laughner. They decided to spend a couple of weekends at Richard's small Manhattan studio, but recording no new stuff, just the set they'd been performing on tour. It's a great document of some old men kicking some serious ass, especially with classic songs like "Final Solution" and "Sonic Reducer". Richard's recordings are cool, in a rough yet clear kinda way that improves greatly on the bootleg quality of all the ancient RFTT material. I've been digging this a lot.
