Okay, last issue we ran a review of the previous Sonic Youth CD EP, Anagrama. Here's the corrections to that review: Sonic Youth now have their own 16 track studio. It is manned by Wharton Tiers, an engineer/producer of impeccable credentials. They're recording a lot of stuff there, some of it for a future SY album on DGC, and others for release on their own, new, label... which is called Sonic Youth Records. It only seems about time that this creative bunch of goofs had their own place to record, and the wonderfully creative and informal results on these EP's is quite welcome around here. And I also heard they've been reading Tape Op while hanging out at their studio... really. (SYRecs, PO Box 6179, Hoboken, NJ 07030)
